Custom Primary Bathroom Remodel in Sandy, Oregon
Transforming a Standard Primary Bathroom Into a Personal Retreat
Rydman Enterprises completed this primary bathroom remodel in Sandy, Oregon, transforming a standard bathroom in a 2000s subdivision home into a highly customized retreat designed around the homeowner’s vision.
Rather than simply replacing the existing finishes, the project involved completely reworking the bathroom layout, relocating major fixtures, and adding custom features throughout the space.
A Completely New Bathroom Layout
The homeowner knew exactly what she wanted from the finished bathroom. Bringing that vision to life required significant changes to the existing layout.
Rydman Enterprises removed the original shower and constructed a new shower in a different part of the room. The toilet was also relocated, allowing the bathroom to be reorganized around the new design.
The remodel included:
- Relocating the shower
- Relocating the toilet
- Installing a freestanding tub
- Installing a towel warmer
- New cabinetry
- Quartz countertops
- Tile flooring
- Custom tiled shower
- New doors
- Interior finish work
- Plumbing and fixture modifications
Built Around the Homeowner’s Vision
Unlike projects where the homeowner is still deciding what the finished space should look like, this client came into the remodel with a very specific vision.
Even details such as the size and placement of the mirrors influenced the scale and layout of the finished bathroom, making precision especially important throughout construction.
Rydman Enterprises worked closely with the homeowner to translate those design decisions into the finished space while making sure the different elements worked together properly.
From a Builder-Grade Bathroom to a Custom Retreat
The original bathroom was typical of many homes built in Sandy subdivisions during the 2000s. The remodel completely changed its character.
The finished primary bathroom features a distinctive custom design with an Asian-inspired aesthetic, a freestanding tub, tiled shower and floors, quartz countertops, new cabinetry, and carefully coordinated finishes.
Instead of the original builder-grade bathroom, the homeowners now have a personalized space designed specifically around how they wanted their primary bathroom to look and function.
The successful project also led to an ongoing relationship, with Rydman Enterprises returning to complete additional projects for the homeowners.
