At 24′ × 32′, this was considerably larger than a typical backyard gazebo. The size of the structure, combined with substantial Douglas fir posts and beams, turned the gazebo itself into a focal point of the property.

The gazebo features post-and-beam construction using #1 select Douglas fir. The large dimensions of the posts and beams showcase the structure and natural character of the wood while creating a substantial covered area for outdoor gatherings.

A Larger-Than-Usual Gazebo
Rydman Enterprises has completed many gazebo projects, but the 24′ × 32′ size made this build unique. Working with structural components of this scale required careful planning and construction while maintaining the appearance the homeowners wanted.
Construction also began during the 2020 wildfires in the Sandy area, adding an unusual set of circumstances to the beginning of the project.
